Jack Kammer is becoming a "hero" to young men with new book.

Dealing with anger, bullies, sex, drugs, and competition for anything from sports to jobs are things every human faces on the journey in life. However; all of these things are treated very differently if the one being advised is female or male.

MAGNOLIA, DE, February 18, 2010 /Children and Youth PR News/ -- Jack Kammer is an MSW, MBA and is the director of the Center for Men and Boys in Social Policy , a public interest consultancy in Baltimore, Maryland USA. CMBSP provides fresh, gender-specific insights about men and boys for policy makers, service providers and community leaders. He is also the author of a book called "Heroes of the Blue Sky Rebellion : How You and Other Young Men can Claim All the Happiness in the World."

The book is geared for young men aged 10 through 25 and it deals with issues that are unique to males within that age range. Dealing with anger, bullies, sex, drugs, and competition for anything from sports to jobs are things every human faces on the journey in life. However; all of these things are treated very differently if the one being advised is female or male. For the last 50 years we have spurned our girls to believe that they can be anything and do anything - whether that means being president or being a stay at home mom or being an artist. Boys are a different story, and the research in the book shows that many of them are very aware that they have limited options in life's pursuit. Men are conditioned from a young age to not like "girly" things, while girls can play with any toy they want. They are taught not to cry, to be TOUGH (which translates to anger in young men), and they grow up bullying each other and forming very different relationships than girls do as adults. Kammer talks in his book about how to bring up a healthy confident boy in this environment. How to stand up to bullies, how to make allies and friends, and how to achieve any dream.

Kammer is not anti-feminism, nor does he want us to bring up a generation of boys who will never become men. What he wants is to alleviate the stereotype that boys are angry just because they are hard-wired to be so, and how to raise a young man to be confident and happy. Judith Kleinfeld, Ed.D.
A professor of psychology at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks says "An excellent and timely book for young males facing a world increasingly stacked against them and blind to their learning styles and emotional needs. Especially valuable are the practical suggestions as to what any boy or young man can do to challenge and reverse unfairness."

The book is called "Heroes of the Blue Sky Rebellion" and it can be bought online for a very affordable $9.99 by visiting https://www.createspace.com/3395585.

Teachers and psychologists can buy for special rates. Email groupepublicity@gmail.com for more information.
