Stanford Who's Who recognizes Kelly M. Randazzo for her exceptional effort in the Education Industry.
WEST BLOOMFIELD, MI, February 27, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who recognizes Kelly M. Randazzo for her exceptional effort in the Education Industry. As Principal of Brookfield Academy's West Bloomfield Campus she has routinely demonstrated the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be successful.
Brookfield Academy is a Montessori School dedicated to the quality education of children from infancy to elementary school age. They offer a unique and progressive brand of education, fostering an environment of individualized education, tailored to each child's learning style and capabilities.
Brookfield Academy is the oldest Montessori school in Michigan founded by Dr. and Mrs. Weinberg in 1964. In 2003, the Weinberg's sold the four campuses to Bright Horizons Family Solutions. Today they have five campuses in the Detroit Metropolitan area: Waterford , West Bloomfield, Troy , Rochester Hills, and Livonia . While working at Wayne State University for her undergraduate work, Mrs. Randazzo was the day care director at the Troy campus.
The West Bloomfield Campus, of which Kelly is the Principal, was founded in 1977 by its owners and a group of dedicated parents who insisted on the benefits of a sound, early and individualized educational program for their children. Since its inception they have strived to offer a broad, meaningful education that encompasses the mind, culture, emotions, social expertise and practical skills.
They have recently expanded their computer lab with a NEC Interactive Whiteboard, leaving students and teachers alike extremely excited about working with the new technology.
Early in her own academic career, Kelly knew she wanted to become a teacher, and with her leadership skills being innate, Educational Leadership seemed to be the only logical choice for her. Now that she is working with all levels of families as a Principal, she feels psychology would be the next level for her educational career to take and she aspires to earn a Doctorate Degree in the study.
Her proudest professional accomplishments to date were being selected Teacher of the Year in Hamtramck Public Schools and runner-up to Wayne County 's Teacher of the Year. She is also incredibly proud of when she became Principal of Brookfield Academy, West Bloomfield campus. Kelly attributes her success to a solid education, a love of learning, and a mother who instilled manners and a sense of accountability for her actions.
Mrs. Randazzo earned a BS MEd Degree from Wayne State University. She is an alumnus of Alpha Gamma Delta and a member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals.
