Alan R. Francois parlays two decades of experience as a teacher into a second career as a history tutor

    LONDON, UK, July 20, 2010 /Children and Youth PR News/ --Alan R. Francois, Professional Tutor, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in educational services.

Prior to his retirement from the Ursuline Convent High School for Girls, Alan R. Francois gained two decades of professional teaching experience. Specialized in history instruction, Mr. Francois expertly taught classical and ancient studies. During his tenure with Ursuline, he served as its governor and headed the history and classics department.

Now retired, Mr. Francois maintains his passion for education as a professional tutor. He excels at working with individuals in an effort to hone their knowledge of history, classical and ancient studies, and English. In a candid interview with Cambridge Publishing, Mr. Francois recalled the keys to his success: hard work, longevity in his field and a love for teaching.

Mr. Francois holds a bachelor of arts in history and classical studies from London Metropolitan University, earned in 1980. He obtained a postgraduate certificate in education from the University of London, Institute of Education in 1981 and is a former representative of the National Union of Teachers. Especially interested in genealogy, Mr. Francois is in the process of documenting his family lineage. He is also an aspiring author and is presently at work on his first book, an academic biography of King Harald III Sigurdsson, the third contender for the English crown in 1066.
