Betsy Lee Ealy Recozgnized for Four Decades of Dedication to Education

Betsy Lee Ealy, M.Ed., honored by Cambridge Publishing

GARLAND, TX, July 20, 2010 /Children and Youth PR News/ -- Betsy Lee Ealy, M.Ed., Retired Elementary Teacher for the Dallas Independent School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

Prior to her retirement, Betsy Lee Ealy demonstrated over 41 years of professional dedication to the field of education. She spent 24 teaching for the Dallas Independent School District, drawing upon her expertise in language arts and writing to teach first- through fifth-grade students in a self-contained classroom utilizing hands-on instructional techniques. Through her commitment to helping children thrive in a disciplined, academic setting, Ms. Ealy achieved sustained success in this function. She cites the most gratifying aspect of her career as having received gratitude from her graduating students, and credits such success to the example set forth by her eldest brother.

An alumna of Jackson State University, Ms. Ealy holds a bachelor of science in education and a master of education in elementary education. She is certified as an ESL teacher for grades one through six, and holds a dyslexia certification. In 1991, she was honored with the Teacher of the Year Award by Herbert Marcus Elementary School. In 1999, she was named Lakeshore Learning Store's "Outstanding Teacher" and, in 2002, she was inducted into the Who's Who Among American Teachers. She now maintains active affiliation with the Texas Education Agency and the National Education Association. Moving forward, she will seek to expand her philanthropic efforts.
